November 2007 Newsletter
Thank you for stopping by -
Can't believe we're into November and arranging to winterize the Sanctuary.
Greg Serogo Landscaping has done a good job of fine tuning the property - not to forget B.J. and Iris who are out there regularly.
We're having a terrible time with our 4 legged guests - they seem to think or tree leaves are the best tasting in the neighborhood and when their antlers get "Itchy - Witchy" they rub them on our tree trunks.
Sorry bogs I didn't mean to categorize you in that group.
The new circle of Love garden and sign are in and already there have been people enjoying it.
Let's see... Lots to talk about. Sugar & Spice party was a huge success with over 60 people enjoying Jeff Moor's presentation of edible food and drinks of the Lenape Indians - with samples of all.
We're having a lot of fun with our newly stocked "Josh Shapiro Crystal Tool Shed". Howard Bronstein mentioned it, "the tool shed was nice enough to have a crystal chandelier - presto - (don't underestimate the powers of a bunch of frustrated neighborhood decorators). A small but elegant crystal chandelier now hangs proudly alongside rakes, shovels and miscellaneous equipment. Peek in the windows and I think you will agree.
Incidentally, Howard Bronstein got the Eddy Award for 2007.
Stephen Kline, our new Township Commissioner for M.B.S. came to our November Board meeting - It's a "First Time" a commissioner has come to our meeting - We look forward to a good working relationship with him.
On a very sad note, one of our dearest friends and supporter of M.B.S. died last week. Julie Greenbaum who was instrumental in getting the township and construction company doing the sewer project in the neighborhood to restore the grounds to their prior condition - that allowed us to create what is now M.B.S.
She and her husband Charles and family are well represented with a tree, a beautiful copper roof bird house surrounded by fragrant rose bushes. Please take a moment to stop and smell them.
I know she would like that.
