Brrrrrrrrrr, it's cold out there - only a brave sole would come to the sanctuary on such wintery days - even the birds stay away.
Have you noticed something is missing at Meadowbrook Rd. and Washington Lane? It's our sign - it blew down in one of the storms and is in the shop for repairs. It should be back in the next few weeks.
Hope you're enjoying the bright red stems of the 2 Red Stem Dogwood bushes that are on either side of the entrance on Revelation Rd. (where the mailbox is) - they fade into the background during spring & summer months, but come winter they lose their leaves and their stems, turn from green to bright red - making them the gem of the winter garden.
We all miss the exercise we get from gardening at the Bird Sanctuary during spring, summer and fall - but "Oh, it's so nice to have some time off and just enjoy our labor of love."
